Kathy was infatuated with animals very early on and began asking for a pony for Christmas as a 2 year old girl. Finally, at 5 years of age, that wish came true with a pony named "My Fair Lady". That was the spark that ignited not just her passion for riding and competing, but her career in equine animal health- first in equine pharmaceticals, then switching to equine nutrition.
Her passion is now a family affair, as she continues to compete in the Amateur Owner Hunters over several decades, with her husband, and top trainer, Tommy Serio, at her side, along with her 2 Dalmatians, Grace and Elvis, and German Shepherd, Skylar.
Kathy is based in the Wellington area and finds the most rewarding part of her career has been the ability to weave together her deep relationships with veterinarians, trainers, owners and riders, in an effort to make each horse perform to the best of their abilities, with a consultative approach to each horse's individual needs.
